LITTLE ROCK — At the 2010 Little Rock Film Festival, Cody Carson looked around and “I saw everything going on and I thought, ‘The one thing missing is a formal international filmmakers ball.’”
Now he and Sharl Hill and Kimberly Jones are trying to make that happen.
They may one day look at the inaugural ball Dec.
15 at the Little Rock Club downtown and marvel at how it all got started.
The attendance list was small but hearty, the group decidedly heterogeneous, but together they made a go of it, dressing mostly in elegant attire, enjoying a demonstration from the Fred Astaire Dance Studio, and dining on chicken Monterey with shrimp and asparagus under hollandaise sauce.
