KKK fliers distributed in Pangburn

PANGBURN — Officials in Pangburn are investigating who distributed fliers downtown promoting a local chapter of the Ku Klux Klan.
Mayor Gary Doyle says the fliers only list a post-office box and a picture of a Klan member wearing a pointed white hood. Doyle says residents first reported the fliers Monday and that the police department is investigating.
But Doyle says the fliers are protected free speech — the only thing illegal is that they were posted on public utility poles.
The fliers promote the White County Knights of the Ku Klux Klan. But the national director of Ku Klux Klan LLC tells The Daily Citizen that the Pangburn group is not associated with his organization.
Director Travis Pierce tells the newspaper that many small, unofficial organizations form throughout the country.

Looking at newswatcher's prior comments on this site, s/he only appears to pop up when it's an issue of race, and likes to use the word "orientals" for Asian people. Maybe newswatcher was the one posting the flyers?

It's merely being civil and courteous to refer to a group of people the way that they have requested. "Oriental" is no longer the accepted designation for persons of Asian race.

Should the KKK be allowed to hand out and ask for members in a membership drive?
That probably is all legal until they start talking about bombing churches or hanging certain folks.

There is a big difference between the naacp and kkk and it makes a difference in how people respond to them. As far as I know, the naacp has never beaten, tortured, or killed anyone. Seeing the kkk begin recruiting in your neighborhood reasonably upsets people.

Are you sure this was the Planned Parenthood branch of the KKK passing out the flyers? Afterall, PP is responsible for facilitating the death of black unborn babies at a rate about four times greater than that of white babies. Wouldn't that be something the KKK would find desirable?

I don't know. Are you sure it wasn't the Republican Party branch of the KKK passing out fliers? After all, the Republican's are responsible for facilitating voter ID laws to keep minorities from voting at a rate about four times greater than that of non-minorities. The orient is the far east. Not all asians are from the far east. I am sick to death of people suddenly trying to change vocabulary that has been in use my entire life without ever being meant to be or considered offensive. I could make quite a list of this nonsense. Not all Negroes are literally black, far from it. Retarded is a word straight from medical textbooks. And on and on. I am partly of American Indian ancestry. I don't have a cow every time someone doesn't say native American. People need to get over themselves.
Also, equating the KKK with the NAACP is ridiculous, and an affront to the NAACP.
