NORTH LITTLE ROCK — Two individuals caused $4,000 of damage to a North Little Rock home Saturday in a failed attempt to steal copper.
According to a report from the Pulaski County sheriff's office, North Little Rock resident David Price awoke shortly before 5 a.m. struggling to breathe because his CPAP machine wasn't working. He realized that the power to his home had failed, and he heard noises outside his home.
Upon investigating, Price heard a male shout "He's gotcha" to what he believed was an accomplice, and called 911. A deputy found that the suspects had damaged the main power and A/C units' breaker boxes, took the wires and copper radiator from the A/C unit, and cut the main wires to the residence. The total damage was estimated at $4,000.
Deputies found the radiator, wires and tools used behind an outbuilding, but were unable to obtain finger prints from them. The office has not identified any suspects at this time.
