LITTLE ROCK — A south Little Rock home belonging to a man who is accused of shooting his wife caught fire early Monday morning in south Little Rock.
PCSO Spokesman Lt. Carl Minden confirmed the home on 1100 Russenberger Road belonged to David Kincade, who has been charged with attempted capital murder in the shooting. Minden added that Kincade was not in the home when the fire broke out.
The Pulaski County Sheriff's Office said crews found the house fully engulfed when they responded about 1 a.m.
Firefighters with the Arch Street Fire Department indicated it would take several hours before an interior search could be completed, the sheriff's office said.
By 8 a.m. Monday, no one was on scene at the residence. Brick walls at the front of the home remained standing, but little else appeared to have survived the blaze. Only the burnt pickup and charred wreckage was visible behind the walls.
Neighbors told police they were awoken by what sounded like an explosion.
