2 MUSEUM After months of renovations, the Museum of Discovery has a new entrance on President Clinton Avenue and a new look. The redesigned museum is packed with dozens of new interactive exhibits on earth science, physical science and biology aimed at every age group, from toddlers to senior citizens. The museum reopens Saturday. Regular hours are 9 a.m.-5 p.m. Tuesday-Saturday, 1-5 p.m. Sunday, and the museum will also be open Jan. 16. Admission is $10, $8 for ages 1-11. 3 MOTION The horses are ready to shoot out of the starting gate. Racing season at Oaklawn, 2705 Central Ave., Hot Springs, begins Friday with the first post at 1 p.m. Regular racing continues through April 14, Thursday-Sunday with first posts at 1:30 p.m. Thursday-Friday and Sunday, 1 p.m. Saturday and holiday Mondays. The Laramie Project: Ten Years Later

by Moises Kaufman, Leigh Fondakowski, Greg Pierotti, Andy Paris and Stephen Belber, a sequel looking at the longer-term effects in the decade since the 1998 beating death of a gay Wyoming college student, opens Friday at the Weekend Theater, West Seventh and Chester streets, Little Rock. University Ave. Top performers will receive cash awards and move on to the Feb. 11 regional finals in Memphis; regional finalists get a fare-paid trip to New York to participate in the national semifinals on the Metropolitan Opera stage and the chance (if they make the national finals) to compete in a public concert at the Met for cash prizes of up to $15,000 and a big career launch.
