LITTLE ROCK — Various coaches and players from around the state were honored at the Little Rock Touchdown Club's end-of-the-year banquet, held at The Peabody Hotel.
Burcham accepts ARPreps.com Player of the Year award
Watch VideoIn all, 26 players and coaches, both at the collegiate and high school level, were honored, including Greenbrier quarterback Neal Burcham, who was named ARPreps.com Player of the Year, and Arkansas quarterback Tyler Wilson, who was selected by the Little Rock Touchdown Club as their Southeastern Conference Player of the Year.
The committee also honored Arkansas tight end Garrett Uekman as their winner of the Paul Eells Award. Uekman passed away from a heart condition on Nov. 20. The plaque was accepted by Uekman's mother, father and sister.
Locally, Pulaski Academy coach Kevin Kelley and his quarterback, Fredi Knighten, were honored as the Class 4A coach and player of the year.
