LR panel OKs zoning changes in land-use plan

Approval granted on 24 sites

— The Little Rock Planning Commission approved a series of 24 zoning changes Thursday for the Central Little Rock Land Use Plan.

The affected area includes the area south of Interstate 630 between Interstate 430 on the west and Interstate 30 on the east.

The changes will not affect current businesses or residences inside of the changed areas. The changes are:

Kanis Road at Labette Drive, change from residential medium density to public institutional zoning.

East side of John Barrow Road between Labette Drive and Kanis Road, from mixed office commercial to public institutional.

West side of John Barrow Road between Morris Manor and Labette Drive, from mixed office commercial to public institutional.

West side of Junior Deputy Road at Monette Drive, from park open space to suburban office.

Between Interstate 430 and Shackleford Road north of 36th Street, from mixed office commercial to mixed use.

Both sides of old Shackleford Road, north of 36th Street, from service trades district to mixed use.

The north end of Dover Drive, from public institutional to residential medium density.

Both sides of Shackleford Road north of Colonel Glenn Road, from light industrial to services trades.

Northwest corner of Colonel Glenn and Allard roads, from residential low density and neighborhood commercial to mixed use.

South of Colonel Glenn Road from Bodie Creek to Stagecoach Road, from residential low density and neighborhood commercial to mixed use.

East of Stagecoach Road, south of Susie Lane, from neighborhood commercial to office and residential low density.

West side of John Barrow Road, between 31st and 32nd streets, from public institutional to residential low density.

Southeast of Colonel Glenn Road and Marlborough Street, from mixed use to public institutional.

South of Base Line Road on both sides of Sibley Hole Road, from service trades district to mixed office commercial.

East of Mabelvale Pike, north of Base Line Road, from commercial to public institutional.

Northwest of Mabelvale Pike, north of Mabelvale Circle, from light industrial to residential medium density, and a second area from medium density residential to low density residential.

On both sides of 65th Street west of Geyer Springs Road, and between Big Oak Lane and Forbing Road west of Geyer Springs Road, from industrial to light industrial, and from commercial and industrial to mixed use.

Northwest of 65th Street and Battle Road, from mixed commercial industrial to light industrial.

Northeast of 65th Street and Battle Road, from mixed commercial industrial and commercial to service trades district.

East of Scott Hamilton Road at 69th Street and southwest of 69th and Murray streets, from industrial to public institutional.

East of University Avenue, south of Fourche Creek, from commercial to public institutional.

Northeast of David O. Dodd Road along Waters Edge Road, from residential medium density to residential low density.

North of Interstate 30 on both sides of Warehouse Road, from mixed commercial industrial to service trades district.

East of Stagecoach Road at Shackleford Road, from neighborhood commercial to service trades district.
