FRED OTIS CAMPBELL JR., 88, of Little Rock went to be withthe Lord Friday, July 20, 2012. He was born Dec. 30, 1923, in Pine Bluff, Ark., to the late Fred O. Campbell Sr. and Louise Campbell. He was retired from the Arkansas Democrat after working in thecomposing room for 50 years. Mr. Campbell was a veteran of WWII, and a member of Gideon International. He was chaplain for Local Troop 555 of the Boy Scouts of America. He was a loving and faithful husband and a wonderful father to his five children. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his daughter Cheryl Ralls, and his brother Charles Campbell. He is survived by his wife of 61 years, Jeanette Campbell; sons Fred Campbell III and wife Brenda of Lumberton, Texas, James Campbell and wife Jean of Alexandria, La., Paul Campbell and wife Tracey of North Little Rock, and daughter Virginia Garrett of Little Rock; two sisters, Gertrude Birch of Milpitas, Calif., and Ruth Howard of North Little Rock; 11 grandchildren; nine great-grandchildren; and many nieces and nephews. Funeral services will be held 10 a.m. Wednesday, July 25, 2012, at Faith Baptist Church in North Little Rock, with Dr. Bob Wiegel officiating. Interment will be at Pinecrest Memorial Park, Alexander, Ark. Pallbearersare Todd Ralls, Calvin Ralls, Jason Lynch, Richard Campbell, Kyle Ross, Tom Campbell, and Alexander Campbell. BENTON - Dr. Robert BowenMoore Jr., 88, of Benton died on July 19, 2012. He was a fifth generation Methodist minister born in Texarkana, Ark., on Nov. 20,1923 to the late Rev. Dr. Robert Bowen Moore Sr. and Mary LillianMcAlister Moore. After graduatingfrom Pine Bluff High School, Dr. Bob enlisted in the United States Navy in 1942 and served during World War II. He saw action in all theaters of the war including Europe and the Pacific. He rose to the rank of Boatswain’s Mate 1st Class aboard the U.S.S. Raymond (D.E. 341). He was awarded the Presidential Unit Citation for service in the Battle Off Samar in which his task force defeated a larger enemy fleet. After separation from the service in 1946, he attended Hendrix College in Conway, Ark., where he earned a BS degree. Dr. Bob then attended Perkins School of Theology, where he earned his degree in Divinity and was ordained an Elder in the United Methodist Church. Dr. Bob began his ministry at Portland Montrose. During the course of his ordained ministry, he served churches throughout Arkansas and Texas including Hope, Highland, Magnolia, Baytown, Port Arthur, and San Angelo. He retired in 1989 after 40 years of ministry and lived his remaining years in Benton with his wife, Eva. He was preceded in death by his parents; his first wife and mother of three of his children, Josephine Sahli Moore; two sons, Jim and John; a brother, Rear Admiral Withers Moore; a sister, Martha Sue Jefferies; and brother in law, Robert Jefferies. He is survived by his wife of 45 years, Eva Power Moore; son, Dr. Robert Bowen Moore III and wife MaryLou of Blacksburg, Va.; son Col. Don Kaminar and wife Toni of Bryant; daughter, Kie Moore Baxley and husband Tom of Benton; sister-in-law, Betty Moore; grandchildren Ashley Waite (Tyler), Kyle and Kate Moore, 1st Lt. Ben (Sarah), Krystal, and 2nd Lt.Jonathan Kaminar, and Bo and Jesse Baxley. A memorial service will be held Monday, July 23, at 11 a.m. at First United Methodist Church in Benton in the Christian Life Center with visitation and reception to follow. HAMBURG - Rev. Charles H. Pullin, 86, of Hamburg died Saturday, July 21, 2012 at the Ashley County Medical Center in Crossett. Rev. Pullin was a native of Kilbourne, La., and a resident of Hamburg for the past 45 years. He was a veteran of the United States Army, having served during World War II. He was a Southern Baptist Minister for the past 37 years having pastored at Tiller Baptist Church, Portland Baptist Church, New Hope Baptist Church, Fellowship Baptist Church, Eden Baptist Church, Gardner Baptist Church and Southside Baptist Church. He was an avid gardener and a former member of the Nelms Deer Camp. He is preceded in death by his parents, Van and Nora Gatlin Pullin; two brothers, James Howard Pullin and Van Pullin Jr.; three sisters, Vera Rice, Helen Guin and May Bernice Dill. He is survived by his wife of 62 years, Bobbie Judkins Pullin; two daughters, Phyllis Jones and husband, Billy, and Debbie McDonald and husband, Steve, all of Hamburg; a brother, Ralph Pullin of Warren; two sisters, Bobbie Sue Carpenter of Pueblo, Colo. and Mary Elizabeth Kinney of Houston, Texas; four grandchildren, Wade McDonald and wife, Dey, of Crossett; Hope Shaver and husband, Joey, of Fountain Hill; Vanessa Gilliam and husband, Glenn, of Hot Springs, and Chuck Jones and wife Michelle of Hamburg; 10 great-grandchildren, Carson and Daley McDonald, Cole, Gracie and Brayden Shaver, Hannah and Gabby Gilliam and Kaci, Karly and Karoline Jones. MARION - Winnie Mae Williams, age 92, of Marion, formerly of Gurdon, Ark., passed away Friday, July 20, 2012, in Marion. Winnie was a homemaker and also worked at Austin’s Food Store in Gurdon. Having lived during the depression, she knew the value of hard work. She was an excellent seamstress who made beautiful clothes for her daughters and beautiful quilts for her family. She was also a kind, loving lady who will be greatly missed by her family and friends. She was a lifelong member of Beech Street Baptist Church in Gurdon, where she was active in Sunday School, Women’s Circles, and Vacation Bible School. Winnie was preceded in death by her husband Ed Williams and a daughter Barbara Joan Williams. She is survived by two daughters, Martha Howard (Joel) of Hot Springs Village, and Betty Provost (Richard) of Marion; three grandchildren, Blake Howard (Jennifer) of Fort Myers, Fla., Beth Provost of Dallas, Texas, and Brett Provost (Kim) of Jonesboro; great-grandson Drace Provost of Jonesboro; sister, Lue Schoonover of Prescott, and many nieces and nephews. WALDO - Leon F. Green, 74, of Waldo, Ark., died Saturday, July 21, 2012, at the Medical Center of South Arkansas in El Dorado, Ark. Leon was born Feb. 2, 1938, in Magnolia, Ark., to the late Willie Augusta and Mildred Louise (Bridges) Green. He enjoyed fishing and loved to cook and bake and especially loved to share with his neighbors and family. He was preceded in death by his parents, three brothers, and one sister.Survivors are his brothers, Joe T. Green of Waldo, Ark., and William A. Green and wife Sue of Hugo, Okla.; sister, Joan Perdue of El Dorado, Ark.; several nieces and nephews.

OLIVER SPRINGS, Tenn. - Jerry Price, age 65, a resident of OliverSprings, passed away Friday, July 20, 2012, at Methodist Medical Center in Oak Ridge. Mr. Price was born Sept. 21, 1946, in White County, Ark. He has lived in Oliver Springs for the past six years.Before moving to Tennessee he lived in Arkansas and California.

Jerry retired in 2004 as a general manager at the Ramada Inn in Oxford, Miss. He had previously worked as a freight broker for News Transport in Memphis, Tenn. He served his country in the U.S. Army during the Vietnam War.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Haskell and Mildred Louise Price; and by brothers, H.L. Price, Bennie Price and Leroy “Cotton” Price. Jerry is survived by his wife, Betty Hall Price of Oliver Springs; by a daughter, Erika Nicole Rainey of Beebe, Ark.; by a son, Todd Douglas Price of McRae, Ark.; by grandchildren, Jasmine Rainey andMadison Price. He is also survived by a special aunt, Katherine Stark of Searcy, Ark.; by nieces, Angie Russell and husband, Jimmy, Dianna Petray and husband, Michael, Lynn Heffner and husband, Lynn and Lisa Cook and husband, Larry; by a nephew, Dennis Price and wife; by special family, the “Hoots and Hooters”; by sister-in-laws, Becky Melton and Punkin Raby; by nieces, Donetta Harvey and husband, John, Jennifer Rowe and husband, Jeff; a nephew, Christopher and fiancee Miranda and son Corey and many special friends, including a very special friend, Eddie Raby. Additionally he is survived by his inseparable companion, Prissy.

The family will receive friends Sunday, July 22, 2012, between the hours of 6 and 8 p.m. at Sharp Funeral Home. The funeral will follow at 8 p.m. in the funeral home chapel with Pastor Gary Smith and Pastor Robbie Leach officiating.
