— Jessica Rene Morton became the bride of Tyler Matthew Tate at 1 p.m. Saturday, July 21, in Oasis Church, North Little Rock. Todd West officiated.

Parents of the bride are Mindy and Tim Johnson of Roland and David Morton of Alexander. Her grandparents are Juanita and Preston Morton of Shreveport and the late Helen and Lindy Berg of Houston.

Cathy and Don Tate of Fort Smith are the parents of the groom. He is the grandson of Charles and the late Marian Lester, Dr. Jim and Marlene Brown and the late Don Tate, all of Fort Smith.

Bouquets of gypsophila marked the aisle. Music was by vocalist Mary Ann Doggett, djembe percussionist Tony Morado, guitarist Dustin Dennie and the father of the bride, who sang, “When I Say I Do.”

Given in marriage by her father, the bride wore a taffeta A-line gown with a beaded-lace bodice. She carried a bouquet of white roses and peach spray roses.

Megan Bredensteiner of Roland was maid of honor. Bridesmaids were Meredith Houge of Benton; Phaylan Clements of Little Rock; Meagan Thompson of Fort Smith, sister of the groom; and Niki Zimmerman of Conway.

They wore short black dresses in a variety of styles and carried bouquets similar to the bride’s.

Allie Kate Thompson of Fort Smith, niece of the groom, was flower girl. Ring bearer was Caden Johnson of Fort Smith, cousin of the groom.

Best man was Ian Cheyne of Fayetteville. Groomsmen were Tim Singleton of Artesia, N.M.; Bryce Green of North Little Rock; Patrick DeLassus of Conway; and Tyler Shaw of Roland.

Guests were seated by Sam Wilson of Maumelle; Chris Hembree of Fort Smith; and Hayden Walker of Russellville.

A reception at the Capital Hotel followed the ceremony. Guest tables alternated centerpieces of compact arrangements of hydrangeas, spider chrysanthemums and pink dahlias with tall arrangements of larkspur, snapdragons, dahlias and curly willow.

The bride has a bachelor’s degree in early childhood education and a master’s degree in reading from the University of Central Arkansas at Conway. She is a first-grade teacher in the Arkansas Baptist school system.

The groom has a bachelor’s degree in finance from Arkansas Tech University in Russellville and a master’s degree in business administration from the University of Arkansas at Little Rock. He is a personal banker with Arvest Bank.

The couple will reside in Maumelle after a wedding trip to Playa del Carmen, Mexico.
