LOCKESBURG — A Dierks woman has been arrested on a second-degree murder charge on accusations she ran over her husband, authorities said
The Sevier County sheriff's office said Robert Wilbanks, 55, was driving his pickup east of Lockesburg on Sunday when he stepped out of his vehicle after arguing with his wife, Bonnie Wilbanks.
Police allege that Bonnie Wilbanks then moved over to the driver’s side and ran over her husband.
Robert Wilbanks was pronounced dead at De Queen Regional Medical Center on Sunday afternoon.
The Texarkana Gazette reported that Bonnie Wilbanks told police she slid under the steering wheel to exit the truck and that the vehicle struck her husband.
Bonnie Wilbanks is being held in the Sevier County jail. Authorities did not know whether she had an attorney.
