— Elsewhere in the arts and entertainment this weekend: Organ honors

Organist David Baskeyfield, winner of the first prize and audience prize at the 2011 St. Albans International Organ Competition, will perform works by J.S. Bach, Wolfgang Amadeus Mozart, William Byrd, Marcel Dupre and Franz Liszt for the ninth annual recital celebrating the life of Robert Young Ellis. Ellis was professor of organ at Henderson State University in Arkadelphia, 1952-87. The concert will begin at 8 p.m. Friday at First Presbyterian Church, 800 Scott St., Little Rock, and is offered under the auspices of the Central Arkansas chapter of the American Guildof Organists. ‘King’ at Royal

Harp rarities

Harpist Linda Paul will give a concert titled Things You Never Thought You Would Hear Played on the Harp, with tenor Louis Welcher and organist Vicky Kiehl, at 7 p.m. Saturday at All Saints’ Episcopal Church, 501 S. Phoenix Ave., Russellville. Admission is free but the church is suggesting a donation of $5 to benefit its “ Neighbor’sTable” ministry. A reception will follow in the church’s Shoemaker Hall. Music for fun

The North Little Rock Community Concert band will present a one-hour concert titled Just for Fun at 7 p.m. Friday under the canopy at Lakewood Village, McCain and North Hills boulevards, North Little Rock. Music Director Rico Belotti’s program will include the band in the “Galop” from The Dance of the Hours by Amilcare Ponchielli; K.L. King’s Kentucky Sunrise; Clown Act by Thomas Kahelin; and, of course, John Philip Sousa marches. Admission is free; take lawn chairs and/or blankets. There is no rain date.
