Hall wins fourth state title in five years, outlasts Fayetteville

— Little Rock Hall defeated Fayetteville 42-31 for the Class 7A state title on Friday night at Summit Arena in Hot Springs.

Little Rock Hall fended off Fayetteville for their second straight Class 7A state title and fourth state title in five seasons. David Berrete was named MVP of the 7A tournament, scoring a game-high 12 points.

The Purple Bulldogs (23-7) led at halftime 19-15 thanks to seven points and four rebounds from center Tyler McCullough, but the Warriors (26-3), led by David Berrete's 12 points, took a 10-point lead at 35-25 early in the fourth quarter and held off Fayetteville's pressure to capture their third straight state title, fourth in five years and second consecutive title in 7A.

Berrete was named the 7A tournament MVP for Hall. McCullough finished with eight to lead the Purple 'Dogs.
