— A house in Jacksonville is considered a total loss after catching fire early Thursday morning.

Jacksonville Fire Department Capt. David Jones said the unoccupied home at 3400 Northeastern Ave. was fully involved when crews responded around 4:20 a.m.

Jones said the fire was extinguished shortly before 6:30 a.m., though crews remained on scene just before 7 a.m. He said there may be some traffic delays in the area as they pack up.

The cause of the fire remains under investigation.

No injuries were reported.
