— A body spotted in high water in Boyle Park during heavy rains Wednesday has been recovered.

Little Rock Police Department Lt. Terry Hastings said police recovered the body shortly after 11 a.m. from Rock Creek just north of Colonel Glenn Road.

The body has not yet been identified and will be sent to the State Crime Lab for an autopsy.

A passerby first spotted the body in Boyle Park Wednesday night, but strong currents prevented firefighters from pulling it out of the water. It then drifted away overnight before search crews returned Thursday.
