Broken water line floods Blytheville ER

— The emergency room at a Blytheville hospital is open again after a broken water line flooded the ER this week.

Clinical Services Director Connie Ash says only one patient was in the ER when the water line broke at about 10:20 p.m. Wednesday at Great River Medical Center. The Blytheville Courier News reports that the patient was moved to an alternate site.

A disaster cleanup service from Jonesboro helped clean, dehumidify and sanitize the area.

Medical staff was still able to treat emergency patients in other parts of the hospital, and the mess was cleaned up Thursday.
