ON TV CONTEST

— Miss Canfield of Leave It to Beaver. Mrs. Westlake of The Cosby Show. Mr. Moore of Head of the Class. They’re all TV teachers, and the more you know, the better off you’ll be.

For the On TV Contest, the judge wants to know: How many fictional TV teachers can you name?

To enter, simply list every teacher you can think of from the small screen.

There aren’t too many rules. As long as the characters are fictional (no “reality” participants), they were employed by a school and you can remember their names, you can put them on your list.

The only other requirements are that you number your list and that you include the TV series title with each character.

Any questions? Ask the judge.

Send the entry (one per contestant), including your mailing address and daytime phone number, to Jennifer Nixon at 121 E. Capitol Ave., Little Rock, Ark. 72201 or by e-mail to jnixon@arkansasonline.com. Entries must be received no later than 3 p.m. April 9.

The reader with the longest list will get to choose from Judge Nixon’s Fabulous Prize Pile of TV DVD sets.

Who can enter: Anyone except the winners of the last contest, Karen Quigley of Sherwood and Gay Hargrove of North Little Rock, and Arkansas Democrat-Gazette and Northwest Arkansas Newspapers LLC employees.

Note to privacy-conscious readers: We do not compile lists of mail or e-mail addresses for evil plots or marketing purposes. All entries are destroyed after the judge has selected her winner.
