Man charged with wrecking neighbor’s home

— A White County man faces felony counts after his neighbor’s home was wrecked with a construction tractor.

When WSMV-TV in Nashville asked John Lewis on Tuesday if he intentionally punched holes in the house with the machine, Lewis replied, “I sure did.”

The county sheriff’s office is investigating the incident that occurred last week, and Lewis is due back in court in a month, after he hires a lawyer.

Lisa Young’s house has a gaping hole in nearly every room. Young and her four children are staying with her mother. She denied Lewis’ claim that drugs were being sold from her home.

Young said her brother and two of her children were in the house when the walls began falling. No injury was reported.
