The Crawford County sheriff’s office says a 60-year-old woman has died after she fell off a bluff in the Boston Mountains in western Arkansas.
Capt. Jeff Marvin says Lucy Thames died Tuesday morning from the injuries she suffered in the fall Sunday. The Southwest Times Record reports that Thames had been hiking at Artist Point in western Arkansas with her husband and two grandchildren.
Crawford County authorities say Thames slipped and fell about 20 feet from the cliff. The Boston Mountains are part of the Ozark Mountain range.
