Surveillance topic of writer’s LR talk

— Award-winning author and magazine journalist Shane Harris will discuss his book, The Watchers: The Rise of America’s Surveillance State, at the University of Arkansas Clinton School of Public Service on Tuesday.

Using exclusive access to key government insiders, Harris chronicles the rise of America’s surveillance state over thepast 25 years and argues that the government’s strategy has made it harder to catch terrorists and easier to spy on everyone else.

A book signing will follow the 6 to 7 p.m. lecture in Sturgis Hall.
