Mosley’s uncle, John Arthur Mosley, said he heard three gunshots and found his nephew on the ground, holding his chest, the report said.

Reports stated witnesses saw Terry Lynn Detherow, 45, of England, fire a handgun at two people after an altercation. A bullet grazed Charles Edward Wilmoth, 55, of Little Rock, across the face and another struck Mosley in the chest. Sheriff’s office spokesman Lt. Carl Minden said Wilmoth refused treatment at the scene.

John Arthur Mosley drove his nephew to Baptist Health Medical Center in North Little Rock where he was pronounced dead around 10:30 p.m., the report said.

At 3 a.m. Sunday, deputies arrested Detherow at the Little Rock Airport Travelodge hotel, at 7615 Fluid Dr. A report said before he was arrested, Detherow hit his girlfriend, Tammy Davis, while they were both intoxicated. Minden said he did not know any details about Davis. The report said Davis had a swollen upper lip and a black eye.

Minden said he did not know details about the altercation leading up to the shooting.

“It’s a large annual party they have down in that area,” Minden said. “... They probably knew each other.”

Detherow was charged with first degree-murder, criminal attempt to commit first-degree murder and third degree domestic battery.

Detherow was being held in the Pulaski County jail Sunday without bail.
