Robertson concedes race for State House

— Democratic hopeful Mark Robertson has officially conceded his race for the party nomination to the District 33 seat in the Arkansas House of Representatives.

Early numbers show rival Warwick Sabin leading Robertson by a 2-to-1 margin.

Sabin met with friends, family and campaign members at The Oyster Bar on Markham Street in Little Rock in a rally to celebrate his win.

"I'm thrilled to be at this moment," Sabin said. "It looks like we've won the race by a 2-to-1 margin and it's a product of a lot of hard work. I've been running since August. I've been going door-to-door meeting with every constituent in the district, I've knocked on every door twice."

Robertson said he conceded to Sabin around 8:30 p.m. Tuesday, and even in defeat, said he hoped to help Sabin help make change in the Arkansas House.
