LITTLE ROCK — The Single Parent Scholarship Fund of Pulaski County is accepting applications.
To be eligible, Pulaski County residents must have primary custody of at least one child under the age of 18, be eligible to receive a federal Pell grant, maintain a minimum 2.5 grade-point average and be enrolled as a full-time student at one of nine institutions.
The institutions are Arkansas Baptist College, Arkansas State University’s Little Rock Air Force Base site, Baptist Health schools, Harding University’s North Little Rock campus, John Brown University’s North Little Rock campus, Philander Smith College, Pulaski Technical College, the University of Arkansas at Little Rock and the University of Arkansas for Medical Sciences.
The scholarship, which is for $900, may be used for tuition, books and school supplies; utility bills; car repairs and insurance; day care; medical bills; and other items for which the recipient receives approval.
The application deadline is June 15.
