OxiClean is best known for its laundry products and stain-busters. Now it is taking on the dishes. While food may accidentally land on your clothes, it always ends up dirtying your plates and glasses.

So it’s taking a quick jaunt from the laundry room to the kitchen with its OxiClean Dishwashing Booster.

It claims that today’s detergents (reformulated to reduce the use of environment-damaging phosphates) are the culprit behind inefficient dishwasher loads and that the booster gives detergent that extra nudge to get the gunk off.

You shoot a couple of squirts of the booster into the bottom of your dishwasher and into the rinse agent dispenser, then add your regular detergent and wash as usual.

Or you can fill the rinse dispenser with the booster once a month for a wash.
