— Authorities are investigating the death of a 74-year-old woman who was found dead after an apparent burglary at her home in Magnolia.

The body of Glenda Stroman was found by her sonin-law on Sunday, said Police Chief Glenn Maxwell. Stroman’s body has been sent to the state crime lab for an autopsy.

The police chief said authorities are awaiting a cause of death but said Stroman suffered “serious bodily injury, which is believed to have led to her death.”

Authorities said the case is being investigated as a burglary but would did not sayat this time whether anything had been taken from Stroman’s home.

Police haven’t made any arrests.

Maxwell said this was the first homicide in Magnolia this year.
