— Ex-jailer arrested in theft from inmate

A former Pulaski County jail book-in clerk was arrested Friday morning on accusations she sold an inmate’s necklace at a pawnshop, according to arrest reports.

Deputies said Beverly Wilson, 51, of Pine Bluff was “suspected of stealing an inmate’s necklace” on Oct. 28. Investigators learned that she sold the necklace, valued at $1,270, at a pawnshop in Pine Bluff the next day, according to reports.

Wilson was interviewedby investigators Friday morning and, after waiving her Miranda rights, confessed to taking the necklace, an arrest report states.

Wilson was arrested shortly before 11 a.m. and charged with one felony count of theft of property. She was taken to the Pulaski County jail, where she was released Friday afternoon on $5,000 bond.

Wilson, who was hired inAugust 2009, resigned from her job, a sheriff ’s office spokesman said. The date of her resignation was not immediately available.

gun aimed at son

A Little Rock woman accused of pointing a gun at a high school student was arrested Thursday and charged with aggravated assault.

About 6:30 p.m. Oct. 30, Latoria Bones called police to say that a woman had pointed a gun at her son while he was walking home from the bus stop, a police report states.

Bones told police that Martina Duhart, 22, of 1900 Reservoir Road, Apartment 103, confronted her son because she thought he was “involved with a bomb threat that was called into Hall High,” the report states.

Officers spoke with Duhart, “who apparently had no knowledge of what incident we were referring to involving a gun,” according to reports.

A warrant was obtained for Duhart’s arrest and she was picked up about 8:30 p.m. Thursday at her residence. She was charged with aggravated assault, an arrest report states.

She was taken to the Pulaski County jail, where she was released Friday on $10,000 bond.
