'Lincoln' offers us a real-life look

Because the 16th president of the United States has his likeness on pennies, five dollar bills, a monument and Mount Rushmore, it’s easy to forget Abraham Lincoln was a real person, writes Dan Lybarger of the new Steven Spielberg film Lincoln.

Speilberg does nothing to contest Lincoln’s iconic status, but he and screenwriter Tony Kushner (Angels in America and Spielberg’s Munich) skillfully recall how he attained it.

For fans of the Twilight series the last in the installment should not disappoint. Our reviewer writes, “The Twilight Saga: Breaking Dawn — Part 2 brings on the over-the-top thrills, especially in a climactic battle scene, glimpsed in the film’s trailers.”
