— The Historic Rogers House was the setting at 4 p.m. Saturday, Nov. 10, for the marriage of Dr. Cassie Ruth Jackson and Walker Don Dyer. The Rev. Greg Schick of St. James United Methodist Church officiated.

Leslie and Randolph Charles Jackson of Fort Smith are the parents of the bride. She is the granddaughter of Juanita and Julian Kenneth Dyrhood, also of Fort Smith, and Eloise Jackson and the late C. Hilliard Jackson, both of Fayetteville.

The groom is the son of Mary Aycock of Little Rock and Dale Dyer of Hot Springs. His grandparents are Joan Walker and the late Ralph Walker, both of Marked Tree.

The ceremony site was decorated with two large urns filled with white hydrangeas, roses, blue thistle, kale, bells of Ireland and river birch branches. Music was by the Little Rock String Quartet. Guests were greeted by Molly Bradney and Dr. Lindsay Still.

Given in marriage by her parents, the bride wore a gown of Alencon lace over a charmeuse slip. The princess bodice had cap sleeves and a satin belt embellished with beading. She carried a cascade of roses, statice, pepper berry, yellow cockscomb and dusty miller.

Hannah Jackson of Little Rock was her sister’s maid of honor. Bridesmaids were Katherine Sarver and Lauren Bailey, both also of Little Rock; Megan Mc-Grew of Springdale; Kathryn Howard of Austin, Texas; and Mariah Allen of Conway. They wore knee-length, sleeveless taffeta dresses and carried bouquets similar to the bride’s.

Best man was Scott Troutt of Jonesboro. Groomsmen were Jonathan Curth of Kansas City, Mo.; Dave Clay of West Orange, N.J.; Samuel Jackson of Fayetteville, brother of the bride; and Andrew Vogler and Joshua Johnson, both of Little Rock. Guests were seated by Joe White of Cammack Village, Kelly Grojean Jr. of Jonesboro and Paul Parnell and Christopher Mosley, both also of Little Rock.

A reception at the house followed the ceremony. The buffet held an arrangement of roses, peach stock, hydrangeas and bells of Ireland. Guest tables held arrangements of wedding flowers with fresh rosemary and kale.

The bride has a bachelor’s degree in biology from Hendrix College in Conway, a master’s degree in interdisciplinary biomedical sciences and a medical degree from the University of Arkansas for Medical Sciences. She is a resident physician in pediatrics at Arkansas Children’s Hospital.

The groom has a bachelor’s degree in chemistry from Hendrix and a registered nursing degree from Arkansas State University at Jonesboro. He is a student at UAMS studying advanced primary care practice and is a registered nurse in the UAMS emergency department.

After a honeymoon in Eureka Springs, the couple will live in Little Rock.
