LITTLE ROCK Heifer International is inviting people to its headquarters to learn about the animals it places with poor families around the world so they can become self-sufficient.
The charity will have animals from its Perryville ranch from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m. Saturday at its headquarters adjacent to the Clinton Presidential Center in Little Rock.
The organization says there will also be crafts and other family fun, as well as ways to learn about Heifer’s efforts to end world hunger.
Heifer works to teach people about the root causes of hunger and poverty and expose them to real-world solutions that the charity puts into action.
More on this weekend's top things to do and places to be is available here.
