that is the Arkansas State Fair and Livestock
Show, Oct. 12-21. Expect the usual livestock
shows, carnival rides and a bevy of deep-fried
foods at the State Fairgrounds, 2600 Howard
St. This year’s musical lineup includes headliners America and Kansas. Gate admission is 8 4for ages 60 and older and children 6-12. Parking is an additional

bates will rage at the Arkansas Cornbread Festival, 10 a.m.-6 p.m. Nov. 3 at the Bernice Sculpture Garden, 1200 S. Main St.
Professionals and amateurs will try to wow the judges and the crowds in three categories: traditional, nontraditional and sweet.
