Bank of the Ozarks to post 3rd-quarter results

Bank of the Ozarks, the Little Rock-based lender, is due to report its third-quarter earnings at the close of business Thursday.

The bank’s management plans to conduct a conference call at 10 a.m. Friday, which those interested may hear by dialing (888) 438-5491 and asking for the Bank of the Ozarks conference call, the bank announced.

Afterward, a recording of that call will be available for one week at (888) 203-1112; the code to hear the playback is 8868246.

The call will be available live or in the recorded version in the “investor relations” section of the bank’s website, www.bankozarks.com.

Earlier this month, the lender announced an increased quarterly dividend of 14 cents per common share for shareholders of record as of Friday. Payable Oct. 19, the dividend represents an increase of 1 cent per share over the previous quarter, the bank said.

The bank’s second-quarter net income, announced July 12, was $19.1 million, down 62 percent from the $50.2 million earned in the same period of 2011.

Bank of the Ozarks has 116 locations in Alabama, Arkansas, Georgia, Florida, North Carolina, South Carolina and Texas.
