The Central Arkansas Development Council's Head Start Centers in Saline, Hot Spring and Montgomery counties are accepting applications for enrollment for the 2012-2013 school year.
Head Start is a free child- and family-development program for low-income families that aims to increase the school readiness of young children. It is administered by the nonprofit community-action agency.
The center said children enrolled will have access to educational resources and health, dental, nutritional and social services.
Children must be ages 3 or 4 to enroll in the Head Start program. The agency said verification of family income, the child's birth certificate and immunization records are required to complete an application.
Applications will be accepted from 8 a.m. to 4 p.m. at each of the following locations:
