According to Arkansas Department of Correction spokesperson Shea Wilson, the two inmates escaped at approximately 1:30 p.m. Monday from the prison. While one of the inmates, James B. Ryan, has been apprehended, the second, Curtis Reese, Jr., 33, has evaded authorities and is believed to be between Tucker and England.

Reese, Jr. is currently serving a 40-year sentence for first-degree murder out of Saline County.

A release from the department states that Reese and Ryan escaped the prison in a water tank atop an 18-wheel tractor trailer, then jumped off in the Ferda area.
