LITTLE ROCK — A website that says it tracks the best cities to live and visit has ranked Little Rock in its top 10 downtowns across the country.
Livability.com says Little Rock comes in at fifth on the list behind Fort Collins, Colo.; Charleston, S.C.; Alexandria, Va.; and Boise, Idaho.
The website said in a news release that the cities each have downtowns "that are walkable, well thought out and that have a wealth of dining and entertainment options." The rankings reflect city unemployment rate, downtown vacancy rate, distance between residential areas, and downtown and average income levels.
Each city on the list has a population between 100,000 and 300,000.
Other cities rounding out the top 10 were Stamford, Conn.; Lincoln, Neb.; Provo, Utah; Hollywood, Fla.; and McAllen, Texas.
