Authorities are currently investigating a body found along an Arkansas interstate Monday morning.
According to a news release from the Arkansas State Police, state troopers were dispatched to the Interstate 440 access ramp near Arkansas 161 at 11:13 a.m. Upon arrival, authorities discovered a nude, unidentified female body lying alongside the highway.
The body was transported to the State Crime Laboratory for further investigation and identification, the release states. Agents with the state police's criminal investigation division took evidence from the scene, as well as collecting personal items of the victim.
The investigation is ongoing.
