A driver was taken to the hospital Friday after her sport utility vehicle clipped a Pulaski County Special School District bus and then ran off a central Arkansas road, police on the scene said.
It happened about 7 a.m. on Arkansas 161 at Upper Steele Bend Road in Scott.
Deputies on scene said it appeared one of the vehicles clipped the other a they drove opposite ways on Arkansas 161. That sent the SUV, a Ford Explorer, off the highway, across a ditch and through a fence line.
No children were on the bus, and the driver wasn't hurt. The Explorer driver was taken to the hospital by ambulance with injuries not believed to be serious.
