RUSSELLVILLE — The Great American Conference has named Arkansas-Monticello guard Jared Harrison and Southern Arkansas guard Allie Wade as the GAC men's and women's basketball players of the week.
Harrison was chosen after scoring 43 total points in helping UAM to wins over Philander Smith and No. 22 Angelo State. Harrison had 20 points in the win over Philander Smith and 23 in the victory over Angelo State and also had five rebounds, eight assists and three steals in the two wins last week.
Wade was named women's Player of the Week after scoring 23 points in a win over Texas A&M-Kingsville.
