By Gavin Lesnick

This article was published February 5, 2013 at 6:24 a.m.

— A dense fog advisory is in effect for much of Arkansas, limiting visibility and potentially creating hazardous driving conditions, the National Weather Service said.

The advisory runs through 9 a.m. for the fog, which can reduce visibility to a quarter mile or less.

The weather service say motorists should slow down, use their headlights and leave plenty of following distance.

The advisory covers more than 30 counties.
