Arkansas 70 debris cleanup to cause lane closures

— Highway crews removing winter storm debris from Arkansas 70 in Garland County will require lane closures, the Arkansas State Highway and Transportation Department said in a news release Friday.

Officials said the cleanup will take place on both sides of the highway between the Garland County line and the Martin Luther King Expressway in Hot Springs. The department said the cleanup process will begin Tuesday and continue through the rest of February. The work will take place between 9 a.m. and 3 p.m. on weekdays, weather permitting.

Officials said the only exceptions would be Friday, Feb. 15, Monday, Feb. 18, and Tuesday, Feb. 19, when no work would be done.

AHTD asks motorists to exercise caution when approaching and driving through highway work zones.
