An accident in the eastbound lane of Interstate 30 near Malvern diverted traffic for several hours Friday afternoon.

State Police say that a commercial carrier and a "farm-type vehicle" collided near the Social Hill, Malvern area around 2:30 p.m.

Officials say two people suffered injuries, but their conditions were not immediately available.

Officials with the Arkansas Highway and Transportation Department said the area of I-30 where the accident occurred, near mile-marker 91, reopened shortly after 5 p.m.
