Charles Schumer, D-N.Y., left, announce with other senators that they have reached agreement on the principles of sweeping legislation to rewrite the nation's immigration laws, during a news conference at the Capitol in Washington. Menendez said Monday, Feb. 4, 2013, that allegations that he engaged with prostitutes in the Dominican Republic are false "smears." He said he has done nothing wrong and that allegations otherwise are "totally unsubstantiated."

WASHINGTON Sen. Robert Menendez is defending actions he took that appeared to benefit a top campaign contributor, saying that being a donor shouldn’t disqualify someone from getting a lawmaker’s assistance.
The New Jersey Democrat made his comments in an interview on the Spanish-language television network Univision when asked about his top campaign contributor, Dr. Solomon Melgen. Menendez’s ties to Melgen have come under scrutiny after an FBI raid last week at Melgen’s West Palm Beach, Fla., offices.
Menendez acknowledges he’s asked questions about policies that affected Melgen. But he says the inquiries were policy-based and that he’s made them on behalf of many people.
He says he rejects the idea that someone could buy favors from him, adding it’s never happened in 20 years in Congress.

But wait, according to all of the liberals after this happened with a steel mill in Arkansas it was only a Republican problem? I doubt they have one bit of intestinal fortitude to step in and comment here. Actually they will but will have every weak minded excuse to defend a Democrat.

I hope New Jersey does something about him. We can't even find out for sure who's lining their pockets with the deal in Arkansas yet. No one has said the current issue in Arkansas only involved Republicans. Both parties are obviously in on it, and we are still worried about it. Have you anything of substance to say today, or do you plan to just flit from thread to thread baiting Democrats? With what little time you have leftover from making up endless childish names for yourself.....

You are so full of crap the fact you actually believe what you say is disturbing inquire. You spend every day castigating every Republican you can on every thread you can find yet want to whine about what I do. You are a liar and I have proved it over and over. Keep lying little Miss Hypocrite; you would not have said one word about this if I didn't first. Stuff it old hag and go feed your husband you have tied up in your basement.

EweRRiteIDontCare, why don't you go back to your cave. Your hateful comments disqualify you from any more consideration. This Democrat and his help for this person needs to be checked out completely by his district. Voters need to watch the activities of their elected representatives closely and pound them if they seem to work mostly for those who give them money.

Gee, who's lying here? I don't even HAVE a basement. Who's over the edge in the way they relate to others on a public forum? Look in the mirror.
