A Pine Bluff police officer was arrested Thursday in connection with a recent theft in Ward.
Cody Wayne Cummings, 24, of Ward was arrested about 12:15 p.m. at the Arkansas Law Enforcement Training Academy in Camden in a residential theft reported Feb. 2, the Lonoke County sheriff's office said in a news release.
Lt. James Kulesa, spokesman for the sheriff's office, said Cummings was arrested on charges of residential burglary, felony theft of property and misdemeanor theft of property.
Cummings is being held at the Lonoke County jail in lieu of $10,000 bond, the sheriff's office said.
