— Margaret Ann Schultz and Michael Paul Switlik were united in marriage at 3 p.m. Monday, Feb. 11, in St. Malachy’s Church, Sherburne, N.Y., with the Rev. James A. Schultz of Sacred Heart Church in Cicero, N.Y., officiating.

The bride is the daughter of Jane and William Michael Schultz Jr. of Norwich, N.Y. Her grandparents are the late Lucy and Harry Tapley of Forestport, N.Y., and the late Virginia and William Michael Schultz Sr. of Syracuse N.Y.

The groom is the son of Paul Anthony Switlik of Mabelvale and the late Jane Irene Switlik. He is the grandson of the late Pearl and Earl Pruitt and the late Margaret Switlik, all of Parsons, Kan.

The chancel was decorated with arrangements of sweetheart roses and baby’s breath. Music was by soloist and organist Hannah Weinel.

The bride, given in marriage by her father, wore a satin off-the-shoulder A-line gown embellished with beaded lace on the bodice and a chapel train. Her bouquet was filled with white miniature roses, baby’s breath and fern.

Mary Schultz of Nashville, Tenn .,sister of the bride, served as maid of honor. She wore a ball gown of indigo satin and carried a bouquet of miniature burgundy carnations and baby’s breath.

Alex Barsell of Little Rock was a ring bearer.

Best man was Marc Wysocki of Sheffield, Mass. Guests were seated by Phillip Schultz of Norwich.

A reception at Colgate Inn, Hamilton, N.Y., followed the ceremony.

The bride has a bachelor’s degree in English from Le Moyne College in Syracuse and was recently a volunteer serving at Maggie’s Place in Phoenix, “a community that provides houses of hospitality for expectant women who are alone or on the streets.”

The groom has a bachelor’s degree in education from the University of Arkansas at Fayetteville and a master’s degree in physical education from Springfield College. He is head athletic trainer at University of Arkansas at Little Rock.

After a honeymoon in Norwich, the couple will make their home in Little Rock.
