The announcement was made on the restaurant's Twitter account, @BigOrangeBurger.

"ATTENTION HILLCREST & MIDTOWN BURGER LOVERS! Big Orange is coming to the Midtowne Shopping Center Summer 2013," the tweet read. The tweet was also accompanied with a picture of the blueprint for the new site.

Scott McGehee, one of the owners of Big Orange, said there will be a number of changes from this location and the one in west Little Rock, including a larger patio area that will be fully enclosed in the winter and lend itself to more outside dining in the spring and summer months.

McGehee also said that there were be more of an emphasis on the bar area as well, catering to the more social aspects of the Midtown area.

"We're treating this like a new entity rather than treating this like something that's already been done," McGehee said.

McGehee also has ownership stake in ZaZa and Local Lime restaurants.

The new location will be near The Container Store and Cafe Laredo in the shopping center at a location that is currently known as Relax The Back.

McGehee said opening the new restaurant in this location was a nod to the patrons and residents who were a bit annoyed they had to travel a long way to enjoy them, citing that a lot of those involved in the venture live in and around the Midtown area.

Construction will begin in mid-February and the target date for opening is around July 4, McGehee said. Though he added that the date is definitely a "moving target."
