LITTLE ROCK Concrete work on the Interstate 55 Bridge over the Mississippi River between Memphis and West Memphis will require lane closures next week.
The Arkansas State Highway and Transportation Department said in a news release Friday that the roadwork will cause alternating lane closures in the westbound lanes from Monday, Jan. 14, to Friday, Jan. 18. The lane closures will occur from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. each day, weather permitting.
Department officials said motorists should exercise caution when traveling through highway work areas.
