Hospital addition subject of lecture

— The design and construction of the $121 million South Wing addition to Arkansas Children’s Hospital will be the focus of a Tuesday lecture at the University of Arkansas Clinton School of Public Service held in partnership with the Architecture and Design Network.

The lecture will feature Kent Taylor of Cromwell Architects and David Berry of Arkansas Children’s Hospital giving a virtual tour of the recently completed 258,000-square-foot addition. The four-story wing includes a new emergency department, expanded cardiovascular and intensive-care units, a new unit for children with blood disorders and 54 beds for patients who need hospitalization.

Seats for the 6-7 p.m. lecture in Sturgis Hall can be reserved by e-mailing publicprograms@clintonschool.uasys.edu or by calling (501) 683-5239.
