Bolshoi performer beaten days before acid attack, Interfax says

A cast member of the Bolshoi Theater was assaulted and robbed days before the ballet company’s artistic director was attacked with acid, Interfax reported, citing a law-enforcement official it didn’t identify.
The performer, who is one of the Bolshoi’s supernumeraries, was beaten up and his mobile phone and wallet were stolen Jan. 11 after an unspecified number of attackers instigated a quarrel outside the Petrovsko-Razumovskaya metro station, according to the news service.
He was hospitalized with injuries suffered in the fighting, Interfax reported.
