By The Associated Press

This article was published January 23, 2013 at 11:15 a.m.

— Authorities say more than two dozen train cars came off the track in a derailment in northeast Arkansas early Wednesday.

Sheriff Mark Counts said the derailment was called in by a Burlington Northern Railroad dispatcher shortly before 2:30 a.m. The sheriff told Jonesboro television station KAIT that the derailment happened near Williford on Arkansas 58.

Counts said 28 or 29 cars came off the track. Two of those cars were carrying hazardous materials, but he said neither of them were leaking.

No injuries have been reported. Crews are still investigating what caused the derailment.
