The North Little Rock School Board has named a new superintendent.
Kelly Rodgers, the former superintendent of the Terrell (Texas) Independent School District, was unanimously approved for the position in Wednesday night's meeting.
The district announced the hire in a news release.
Rodgers also served as the principal at Pleasant Grove (Texas) High School and worked for the Texarkana Independent School District from 1979-1985.
Rodgers will make $185,000 and will be under a three-year contract, which is the longest allowed by law.
