Robber sought in LR gas station, hotel holdups

— Police believe the same man is responsible for armed holdups at a gas station and a hotel in Little Rock on Wednesday morning.

Little Rock Police Department Sgt. Cassandra Davis said authorities believe the man first robbed the Comfort Inn at 4301 E. Roosevelt Road before going to the Shell Station at 7400 Cantrell Road and robbing it.

The robber is described in police reports as a black man in his mid- to late 20s about 5-foot-9 and weighing about170 pounds. He was wearing a black jacket and black pants in one incident and a blue hoodie with a blue shirt in the other.

The Comfort Inn robbery happened about 4:45 a.m. According to a police report, the robber approached an employee as she was coming out of the kitchen, held her at gunpoint and made her open the front desk cash drawer. He then made off with an undisclosed amount of money, leaving east in a vehicle that had rounded taillights.

About half an hour later, the Shell station was robbed by a man who asked for a cigarillo and then pulled out a handgun and demanded cash. After taking the money from the register, the robber reportedly got into an SUV driven by another man and they then drove off.

No arrests have been made.
