A homeless man was pepper-sprayed and robbed early Friday while sitting across the street from the Salvation Army in downtown Little Rock, police said.
The 67-year-old victim told authorities he was outside 200 N. Cross St. just before 4 a.m. when two men approached him, pepper-sprayed him in the eyes and took nearly $150 in cash from him.
The victim went to the Little Rock police headquarters building for help.
The two robbers, described as black men who stood 5-foot-10 and weighed between 150 and 170 pounds, were gone when police responded to the area, according to a report.
The victim declined medical attention, police said.
